Yvonne Eaby Gibbel, a resident of Canton, MI, died November 5, 2014 at the age of 98. She lived the majority of her life in Lancaster, PA where she was born to Nina and Guy Eaby. Yvonne was the oldest of six girls and is survived by her youngest sister, Pat Renn, Rockland, ME and a daughter Sharon G. Kaufman of Canton, MI. Her life was devoted to her two daughters, the late Donna G. Evans and Sharon. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jon Evans, Muscatine, IA; Scott Kaufman, Baldwinsville, NY; Chris Evans, Bloomfield, NY; Beth Miller, Barnwell, SC; Michelle Roth, Canton, MI and Lisa Mullen, Canton, MI. She is survived by fourteen great grandchildren. Yvonne retired at 70 years of age from the administration of Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA. As the recorder for 37 years she influenced many students' lives. She was an active member of F&M's Infirmary Auxillary, an avid reader and bridge player. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church of Lancaster and a regular attendee of the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, MI. Yvonne or "Yonie" , as she was known by her close friends and family, will be remembered as a strong, loving, independent woman with a good sense of humor and a great love and devotion for her family.
