Wilma Rebecca Retz

Passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with her family beside her, age 86. Wilma was born in Detroit, the daughter of Wilbur and Beatrice ( Curtiss ) Walsh. She graduated from Cooley High School and after World War II she married Dr. Robert T. Retz. He passed away in 1987. For years she worked for the State as a Financial Supervisor. Among her many interest was playing cards, especially Bridge, golfing, and until 80 she was still taking lessons trying to improve her tee shot. Wilma was an avid reader, scary mystery being of special interest. Her daughters stated that after reading really scary novels she would have to sleep with a night light on. Wilma had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. Talking politics was another special joy for her. she is survived by her daughters Sandra Retz and Barbara Retz. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30 am until the funeral service time of 12:30pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth.
