William Ralph Rowley, Jr., age 55 of Redford passed away on June 24, 2023.
Billy was born on June 13, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, William Rowley and Sandra (Robert) Gairdner. He is the loving and devoted father of three children – Amber Rowley, Stephani Rowley and Alexis Rowley; proud grandfather of Kya, Camryn, Caiden, Jacob, Anya, Ella and Carter. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister Andrea (Robert) Roop, and his two nephews, Nicholas and Donovan; his numerous cousins and his Aunt Sharon Drummond. Billy is also survived by his former spouses, Melissa, Kim and Katie. He will surely be missed by his three dogs – “Cherokee”, “Sky”, and “Willow” as well as his cat “Jessie”.
Billy’s family tells us he was a “free spirit”. He lived his life as he wished it to be and in a somewhat unconventional way. But at the same time, all who knew Billy would say he was strong, and he was spirited but, he was also a gentle soul. He followed his own inner guidance. He could let pressures and expectations roll right off of his shoulders. Yes, he was truly a free spirt and he was a beautiful person because of his free spiritedness and love of adventure.
His adventuresome life gave him experiences like white water rafting. Paddling through the raging river rapids was the ultimate adrenaline rush. He loved the calm waters and the amazing scenery until he would hear up ahead the river's thrilling sound of the water that he would soon find rushing all around him while fiercely paddling through the rough waters and the craggy rocks below. What a rush it was for him and how he would embrace that natural environment all around him. And that gave him great happiness and joy.
