William Everett Traub of Plymouth, MI and of Houghton, MI in the Upper Peninsula, died March 31, 2018. He was 80 years old. Bill was born September 15, 1937 in Hancock, MI to William and Evelyn (nee Opie) Traub. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Mary (nee Hummer), his loving daughter Anna (Ricky) McGarry, step-children John Jakary, Meg (the late Joseph) Ostrowski, Michael (Tracy) Jakary, his grandchildren Stephanie (Doug) Davidson, Kyle LaMirand, Isabel Ostrowski, Ben Ostrowski, and his great grandchildren Hunter and Ava Davidson. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Julie in 2002, his brother James Traub, and both of his parents.
Bill worked for the Ford Motor Company for 32 years as a welder and a UAW Representative. Bill enjoyed golfing, both up north and in Florida, fishing, and boating. He also liked to socialize with family members and his many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 6 from 4-8 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 208 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. His Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 7 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
