Virginia “Ginger” May (Vail) Krueger, a Northville Township resident, gained her angel wings on Monday December 18th, 2023 at the age of 79.
Virginia was born on September 8th, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan.
Ginger graduated from Mumford High School in June of 1962. She then went on to get her Master Gardener Certificate through Michigan State and was in the Culinary Arts program through Schoolcraft College. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, retired Chiropractor Dr. Gary Krueger.
She helped her husband establish his chiropractic practice at the corner of Penniman and Harvey in 1975. She was naturally artistic in her ability to develop beautiful landscapes with flowers and gourmet meals, desserts and also a talented seamstress.
She married Gary Krueger on August 29, 1970, at Grace Lutheran Church in Redford. They made their home in Northville Twp. and then moved to Plymouth, to raise their children Heather L. (Dustin) Olds and Randal C. Krueger. Once retired in 2002 Ginger resided in Northville Twp. and spent many years traveling around the world with her husband and enjoying their winter home in Florida.
Ginger is survived by her children Heather L. (Dustin) Olds, Randal C. Krueger and grandchildren Eleana and Parker Olds. She was loved by her family as a very caring mother, wife, and grandma. She was so proud to be a grandmother and loved teaching Eleana and Parker how to care for flowers and how to bake delicious desserts.
She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livonia and at one time also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth.
A memorial will be held in her honor at a later date.
