Violet Martene Soupis

Violet Martene Soupis passed away March 21, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born February 13, 1927 in Nortonville, Kentucky to Lemuel and Vena(Henderson)Blades. Violet was preceded in death by her beloved husband George, grandson Bryan Soupis and brother Wilbur Lemuel Blades. She is survived by her loving children Phillip(Kathy)Soupis, Laurie(Tony)Bol, Deborah Soupis and Jeffrey Soupis, grandchildren Kimberly(Terrence)Armstrong, Larry(Amy)Soupis, Russell Soupis, Autumn Soupis, Nicholas Soupis, Emma Soupis and Bryan's wife Mindy, step grandchildren Ian Bol, Bethany Bol and Alexander Bol, great grandchildren Alena, Breanna, Dominic, Madison, Lilly, Asher, Blake and Sofia, step great grandchildren Faith, Abigail and Gage. Violet was the manager of the cafeteria at a Redford Union School. She retired in 2002 after 25 years of service. She loved to spend time in Oscoda with family. She was a caregiver, always thinking of others before herself. She loved her family and will be deeply missed. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 11am at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth where friends may visit Monday from 2:30 until 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Residential Hospice.
