Violet M. Allan

Violet May Allan of Westland, passed away March 14, 2017, at the age of 93. She was born in Portageville, Missouri to John and Delta Hinton. Violet is survived by her two loving children, Paul (Donna) Allan, and Julie Allan, her eight precious grandchildren Kenneth Garner, William Thomas (Tiffany) Garner, Theresa Mularski, Wendy Allan Mowery, Kelley (Marc) Allan Wilson, Teri Allan, Katie (Brian) Soos, and Jennifer Goldberg, 15 great-grandchildren and, two great-great grandchildren. . She was preceded in death by both of her parents, two of her children Carolyn Goldberg and Helen Garner, and her siblings John Hinton, Paul Hinton, Mary Goodman, and Alfreda Richards.

Violet loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. She also enjoyed playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. Violet was an active member at the First Baptist Church of Canton. She had a great sense of humor. Violet’s family was very important to her and she will be missed by many.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 18, at 11am at the funeral home. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10am.
