Thomas W. Musson of Canton died October 21, 2019 at the age of 79. Thomas was born July 9, 1940 to the Thomas and Rose Musson. Thomas was proceeded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Dolores (Cislo) Musson. Thomas is survived by his sons Jeffrey (Heather) Musson, Brady (Kathleen) Musson, and Jason (Julie) Musson, five grandchildren Andrew, Rosie, Mitchell, Louis, and Lola, sisters Pat Gazdecki, Eileen Simon, and Beverly Stramecki, and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his master’s degree and was a member of the University of Michigan Marching Band. His passion for music was demonstrated in his ability to play both piano and trombone and was shared with countless students in his roles as band director and music teacher for Dearborn Heights District #7. When he wasn’t working, Thomas loved to be on the water and on the boat with his family. Lake Charlevoix was a favorite place to spend summers. Thomas’s love for his alma matter did not end upon graduation but continued throughout life as a long-term season ticket holder for the Michigan Wolverines. He loved returning each year at Homecoming to play “Hail to the Victors” in the alumni band. Go Blue!
Visitation will be November 9, 2019 from 10am-12pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, MI 48170. Thomas’s memorial service will begin immediately following visitation at 12pm.
