Thomas L. Bondy, of Canton, passed away October 26, 2016, at the age of 59. He was born in Yale, Michigan, to Patrick and Mildred (nee Steenland) Bondy on April 30, 1957. Tom is survived by his beloved wife Martha (nee White) Bondy, his 4 loving children Danielle, Amy, Jessica, and Sarah Bondy, his precious granddaughter Casey Bondy, his dear siblings Robert Bondy, Michael (the late Le) Bondy, Timothy (Jodi) Bondy, Theresa (Richard) Eisen, Stephen (Lisa) Bondy, Jeffrey (Sonda) Bondy, and Patrick (Colleen) Bondy, and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by both of his parents Patrick and Mildred Bondy.
Tom was a true servant of the Lord. He loved his church and was a very involved volunteer at Grace Canton. He was self-motivated, hardworking, and full of life. Tom was so proud of his girls and all of their achievements. He was the “Field Chief” for the Plymouth High School Softball Field. He spent many hours maintaining the diamond from cutting the grass to watering the field. Tom was willing to offer help to anyone, and was known as “Mr. Fix It”. He had a very close-knit family that he loved above all. Tom is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, from 3-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 2, at 11am at the Grace Canton Church, 46788 Cherry Hill, Canton, 48187. Family and friends may visit before the service, beginning at 10:30am. Memorial donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Grace Canton Church.
