Passed away at his home with his family beside him on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the age of 71. Tom was born in Detroit, the son of Thomas T. and Mary C. ( Natzel ) Lamb on November 11, 1941. He graduated from Plymouth High and entered a career with the United States Postal Service. Between 1964 and 1969 he served with the United States Army and was discharged at the rank of sergeant. Tom continued working for the Post Office, in Plymouth both as a mail carrier and clerk, retiring in 2001. In 1970 he married Gail L. Zapfe and they shared their lives together raising four children. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting and all around tinkering with things. He was the families " beloved hoarder " . He is survived by his wife and children Lori Orsette, Trina Lay, Thomas ( Jessi )Lamb and Nicholas Lamb. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kelsey, Mykela, Emily, Evan, Ryan, Clara and Tabitha and siblings Robert ( Diane ) Lamb and Sharon Ghalau. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 am with Pastor Ron Gelaude of Connexions Church of Dexter officiating. Army Honors will also be rendered. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society of the Diabetes Association.
