Thomas Wayne Gabler

Thomas Wayne Gabler, age 67 of Wixom passed away on January 6, 2025. Thomas was born in Dearborn, Michigan on November 7, 1957 to his parents, the late Arlene Gabler (née Wade) and Robert Gabler.

He is survived by his former spouse, Helenann Gabler and mother of their children, Ryan Gabler and Megan (Taylor) Porras and proud grandfather of Palmer Porras. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings - Jim (Judy) Gabler and his sister-in-law Lynne Gabler. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Bob Gabler.

Thomas’ family says he was a handyman and craftsman who was skilled and clever especially when making or fixing things. He was known for his strong work ethic and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to take care of his family, he did so selflessly and with a great sense of humor. He was proud of his children and granddaughter and played a significant role in their lives while spending time with and teaching them important life skills. He was there for each of them to listen while they shared their concerns and offer encouragement when needed. His time with his family has created precious and unique memories they will cherish forever.

Friends may visit on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Schrader-Howell on Saturday, January 11, 2025 beginning at 10:00 A.M.
