Theresa Platte

Theresa Platte passed away May 16, 2014 at the age of 91. She was born November 14, 1922 in Detroit to Frank and Teresa Radzikowski. Theresa was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Radzikowski Sr., Arthur Gluski and Carl Platte. She is the dear mother of Frank(Linda)Radzikowski Jr., Suzanne(Tony)Fenech and Robert Radzikowski and step mother(Gluski family) of Bruce, Pam, Larry, Lorna and Martha. Dear grandmother of Angie(Kevin)Reina, Marsha(Ken)Fistler, Roger LaGrow, Michelle Radzikowski, the late Frankie Radzikowski III, Tony, Adam, Grant, Courtney, Matthew, Joey, Michael and the late Matthew. Theresa also leaves great grandchildren Nicolas, Maxwell, Samuel, Mackenzie and Kenny. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Theresa was a nut inspector at Ever Lock of Detroit, now in Sterling Heights. She retired about 30 years ago after 30 years of service to the company. Theresa was always a very hard working person. To say she was an avid Detroit Tiger fan would be an understatement. She loved to go the Eastern Market to buy flowers. She made unbelieveable perogies and stuffed cabbage. Theresa loved to travel and at one time was an avid Square Dancer. Most of all, she loved spending time with and doing things for her family. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Funeral Services will take place Monday, May 19, 2014, 1PM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard, Northville. Visitation will be Sunday 2PM until 7PM at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, and Monday at church 12:30PM until time of Mass. A Scripture Service is scheduled Sunday 6PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Detroit, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank Radzikowski.
