Terry Oswalt

Terry Oswalt, age 61 of Allen Park passed away on October 16, 2021.

Terry was born on March 1, 1960 in Detroit to his parents Neil and Katherine (née Phillipson) Oswalt. He is the loving and devoted father of three children – Holly Oswalt, Nick (Andreea) Oswalt and Timothy (Christine) Oswalt; proud grandfather of Emma and Connor. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings, Linda Oswalt, David (Mary) Oswalt, Gary (Norma) Oswalt and Paul Oswalt. He also leaves behind his fiancée, Anne Stol, who deeply loves him and former spouse, Sandra Oswalt.

Terry worked in his family’s business, Oswalt’s Inc., a wholesale floral supplier. The business began in the 1970’s until 2013. From 2013 until the present, he was employed by Mayesh which is also a floral wholesale company. Terry was diligent about his work and passionate about the floral industry. Through his career, he developed many friendships with his customers and colleagues.

When Terry wasn’t working, he enjoyed travelling. He had many exciting travel experiences. He loved seeing new places and learning about fascinating facts and the local history. He also was an avid golfer, tennis player and member of the Thunderbird Ski Club. There was nothing better than being in the sunshine enjoying a round of golf or tennis with close friends and family and the fun and competitiveness with everyone in the group.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at Praise Community Church, 45000 North Territorial Road, Plymouth on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M.

For those who cannot attend, the Funeral Service will be live streamed.





Terry will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
