Susan M. Hill

Susan Marie Hill, age 72 of Canton, passed away on August 30, 2023 after bravely battling bladder cancer for two years. 

She was born ­­­­­­­­­­­­in Detroit, Michigan ­on March 13, 1951 to Henry and Josephine Kanclerz. As the fourth of nine children, Sue grew up surrounded by family which is something that continued to bring her joy throughout her life. 

She was predeceased by her soulmate and husband of almost 48 years, Harry James Hill Jr. who passed away on December 27, 2022. Beloved sister of the late Joan (Edward) Birrell, Connie (James) Chimewlski, Margaret (the late Francis)Beier, the late James Kanclerz, John Kanclerz, Karen (Jeffrey) Conroy, Teresa Zigman and David Kanclerz. Sue was a loving and devoted mother of five children – Jill Dillon, Jessica (Randy) Danison, Jaime Sue Hill (Bill Lenz), Harry “Joe” Hill and Richard Fret (Moabe Salomao); proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, September 2, 2023 beginning at 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service beginning at 6:00 P.M. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan or the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
