Susan Carolyn Flading, age 77 of Northville passed away on February 27, 2021.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 5, 1943 to her parents, Albert W. and Wilma C. (née Matson) Kirby.
Susan is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Roger Flading from 1964 until he passed away in 2016. She is the loving mother of two children - Kimberly (Tony) Phillips and Jason (Felicia) Flading; proud grandmother of Kaylee Phillips, Cassie Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Sophie Phillips, Soraya Flading, Farrah Flading and Felix Flading. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sister, Karen (Dan) Emmitt, sister-in-law Sherry Kirby and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her Caregiver, Karessia Wilcox.
Susan graduated from Central Michigan University. She was employed in the Northville Public Schools as a School Librarian for more than 10+ years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She loved all animals, gardening, enjoyed reading, dining out, attending movies at the theater, watching crime dramas on television and playing Yahtzee. She also enjoyed a good glass of wine.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. The service will be live-streamed only. Access will be available on this obituary page prior to the service.
