Susan Aletha Sturk

Passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on Monday, July 26, 2010, age 57. Susan was born on December 27, 1952 in Wyandotte, the daughter of Melvin and Lucille Brant. She graduated from the University of Michigan Nursing School and had worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Wayne County General Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. She was a member of the Bay of Quinte Tribe, part of the Mohawk Nation, from near Kingston, Ontario. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Thursday from 1pm until 9 pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 2pm with Pastor Drex Morton of St. Michael Lutheran Church of Canton officiating. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
