Steve “Pops” Russell Ash, age 70 of Howell and formerly of Plymouth, passed away on April 28, 2022. Although his heart failed in the end, this same heart touched so many lives along the way leaving ever lasting memories.
Steve never looked for praises, he never was the man to boast, he lived his life quietly helping his large family, the ones he loved the most. Born in Plymouth on December 8, 1951 to Russell and the late Ginnie Ash. He was survived by his wife of 17 years, Wendy, with whom he loved traveling the world with. Loving father of Matthew (Vicki) Ash, Adam (Jen) Ash and Elizabeth (Mark) Biro, who will never forget all the wisdom and love he bestowed. Stepfather of Amy Johnson, Teresa Vilareal and Melissa (Justin) Bierman. Proud grandfather of Kimberlin Ash, Kaitlyn Biro, Noah Biro, Christopher Ash, Isabella Biro, Tyler Adam, Jordan (Kyle) Williams, Ava Vilareal and Charles Bierman, whom all had a very special places in his heart, whether it was watching each grandchild play sports, collecting coins with another, or just plan talking about life. Great grandfather of Alexandria & Cora, who only had a few shorts years with him, but will cherish all the silly moments with Papa. Dear brother of Gregory (Mary Grace) Ash, Cindy Ash, Nena (Bob) Obst and Kevin (Barbara) Ash.
After being in the glass business for many years, Steve eventually went on to open his own glass company, MIS Glass, in which he was most proud of and dedicated too. Steve enjoyed many hobbies through out his life, from stamp and coin collecting, gardening, and enjoying nature to being on the golf course with his entertaining swing. But most of all, whatever he was doing or wherever he was going, you better believe Steve was doing it with a mountain dew in his hand.
Steve was a man who was always there…A firm foundation and a sturdy hand to hold through life’s lessons. Now that he is gone, he will not be forgotten, for the foundation he made will continue to hold strong . He will not be forgotten, for the foundation he made will continue to hold strong .
