Shirley Margaret Covach

Shirley Gwendolyn Margaret Covach passed away at Cederwoods Assisted Living in Belleville on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the age of 89. Shirley had battled MS for 48 years. She was born in Walkerville, Ontario, Canada on April 8, 1924 the daughter of Richard and Margaret ( Warren ) Longley. In the early 1950's she married Louis Covach and together they shared an almost 50 year marriage. Louis passed away in 2000. Shirley loved to knit and over the years she knit hundreds of booties and caps for premature babies. She is survived by her children Louis ( Lourdes ) Covach and Anna Covach and grandchildren Amanda and Eric. She was preceded in death by her siblings Richard W. Longley and Laura M. Shepherd. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday, June 3rd from 9 am until the time of the funeral service at 11am. The Reverend James Fogle of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Livonia will officiate. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at South Lyon Cemetery.
