Shirley M. Drys

August 14, 1927 — October 14, 2016

Shirley Drys of Canton, formerly of Livonia, MI, and Tampa, FL, passed away October 14, at the age of 89. She was born in Detroit, to Fred and Bertha Crook. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Charles Drys, her two loving children Kathleen (Joe) Garrett, and Greg (Rose) Drys, her precious grandchildren David (Wendy), Jennifer (Randy), Jeff, Michelle, and Tom (Brandy), and 6 dear great-grandchildren.

Shirley was heavily involved with the Evergreen Lutheran Church and her Kiwanis Club. She also loved to play cards. If there was a deck in front of her, Shirley was playing. She also loved to pack the station wagon and take the kids camping. Shirley is greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Shirley will be Monday, October 17, from 4-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main, Plymouth, Michigan 48170. Her Funeral Service will also take place Monday, October 17, at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart and Stroke Association. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
