Shanon A. Sieger-Bard

Shanon A. Sieger-Bard passed away at Angela Hospice in Livonia on Friday, March 20, 2015 after a long illness, age 59. Shanon was born in Detroit the daughter of Hughie and Ferne ( nee Marron ) Sieger. She attended Southfield and Livonia schools graduating from Bentley High School in Livonia. She continued her education at Schoolcraft College and also at Eastern Michigan University. She worked at the Plymouth State Home, Northville State Hospital and finally at Walter Reuther Hospital retiring in 2010. While at Walter Reuther she worked with the Clintondale School District working with students to obtain their GED. This accomplishment by her students gave her great pleasure. In 2000 she met Allen Bard who in 2004 would become her husband. Shanon enjoyed jazz and working with computers but foremost in her life was her family, being with them and attending the various activities of her nephews. Shanon is survived by her husband and sister Sharon ( Tuong ) Le. Also surviving are her nephews David ( Erin ) Le and Joe Le. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 pm until 8 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon. Later she will be laid to rest at Acacia Park Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center c/o Henry Ford Hospital or Angela Hospice.
