Sally E. Blunk passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the age of 75. Sally was born in Trenton, Illinois where she graduated from high school and meet her husband the late Douglas Blunk in 1953. After their marriage they moved back to Plymouth where the Blunk family owned and operated a furniture and carpet store along with televison sales and services. She was active in the Plymouth Elks and Kiwanis Clubs and enjoyed bowling with a league formed in Plymouth. She loved vacationing at the family cottage along the shores of Lake Superior, trying her luck at the casinos and working with one of her best friends at Connie's Catering of Plymouth. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth. Her husband Douglas passed away in 1986 and she is survived by her children, Gail (John) Campion and Craig (Ailsa) Blunk. Four grandchildren, Alex (Lisa) DeJack, Shawn Campion, Adam and Gavin Blunk along with niece and nephew, Judy and Bill (Jane) Kirkpatrick also survive. Sally also leaves her best friends Connie, Sally and Nadine. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Monday from 3pm - 8pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am from her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth, 701 Church Street. The Reverend Dr. James Skimins and the Reverend Emily Riley Campbell will be officiating. She will be buried beside her husband at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
