Ryan Aaron Honke, age 33 of Westland passed away suddenly on September 28, 2020.
Ryan was born on October 22, 1986 in Superior Township, Michigan to his parents, Ernest and Penny (née Wesley) Honke. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings, Brandon (Nickie) Honke, Shannon (Jeff) Inman and Lauren Honke who each affectionately called Ryan, “Little Buds”. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Dylan Weis, Mackenzie Inman, Madison Inman, Bryar Inman, Samantha Honke and Alexandra Honke, and his grandmother, Mildred Wesley, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Ryan was an avid wrestling fan. He loved the entertainment connected with wrestlers and their fan base. It was not like any other kind of television entertainment and that was what made it so enjoyable for him. He also loved football and fantasy football. Millions of people play fantasy sports every year, and Ryan was one of them. He stayed on top of the up-to-the-minute updates on players and statistics. Football has depth and complexity, and that is what kept Ryan fascinated by the game. Gaming was another hobby for Ryan. He loved playing Guitar Hero with his family, he also loved the problem-solving skills that one develops while playing video games. He loved the challenges of the visual tasks of each game and keeping his mind active. Ryan was also the family “Pit Master”….he loved cooking on the grill as they enjoyed watching him masterfully flip burgers, brats and other meats with style and what seemed to be a natural born instinct for knowing his way around the grill. He knew grilled foods tasted better and Ryan enjoyed providing enjoyment for his family get-togethers.
