Ruth Jean Pankow

Ruth Pankow passed away at Marywood Nursing Home in Livonia on May 20, 2012 at the age of 87. Ruth was born in Detroit, one of five children of Miller and Ruth ( Carney ) Zimmerman. Her early years were spent in Detroit where she began working at the Michigan Insurance Bureau. Later she worked for Crum & Forrester Insurance Agency. In May 14, 1966 she married Floyd Pankow sharing 46 years of married life. She is survived by her husband and brother William ( Shirley ) Zimmerman. 18 nieces and nephews also survive. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Thursday from 2:30pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10am until time of the funeral service at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 17810 Farmington Road, Livonia with the Reverend James L. Hoff officiating.
