Ruth E. Strebbing

Ruth E. Strebbing, age 88, of Plymouth past away June 27th suddenly. She was born October 25, 1924 in Detroit the daughter of Hugo and Hattie ( Hennig ) Scherer. Ruth had many talents and her passion for cooking led her to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools as a cafeteria manager. She spent many volunteer years with the Plymouth Grange since 1968. Ruth was a devoted Detroit Tiger fan and would listen to every game as did her husband and her own mother. One of her many passions in her later years was spending time with friends at bingo, going to Vegas, or just viewing nature through her kitchen window with her radio playing Elvis. Her husband Howard preceded her in death and she is survived by her children Sharon Strebbing, Michael Strebbing and Elaine Julian-Price. Ruth was also the proud grandmother of Melanie and Michaela Julian. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 pm until 8 pm and Monday from 3 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 am. Later she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth. Contributions are suggested to the Diabetes Association of the American Heart Association.
