Ruth Healy Boni, 88, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, July 14, 2017.
Ruth was born March 2, 1929 to Joseph and Katherine Keohane Healy in Newton, Massachussetts. She went to school at St. Mary’s High School in Waltham, Massachussetts. At age 19, Ruth worked in Washington D.C. as a secretary in the Pentagon living in Arlington Farms, a women’s only housing complex. While in D.C., Ruth met the love of her life, Angelo T. Boni. Ruth and Angelo married on April 16, 1955, and they enjoyed a beautiful life together for 58 years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband and one true love, Angelo T. Boni. She is survived by her sister, Jean Collins, and four children; Stephen Boni, Greg Boni and wife, Karen, Angela Goudos, and Laura Flack and husband, David, and five grandchildren, Alexandra, Christian, Austin, Sarah, and Colin.
Ruth loved cooking and baking, reading, crossword puzzles, and being with her family, especially her five grandchildren.
Ruth lived her life with grace and poise and loved her family unconditionally. She was compassionate and selfless, took a genuine interest in the well-being of others, and was always there for a good conversation over a nice cup of hot tea. Ruth created a loving and stable home for her husband and children, and we will forever be grateful for her selfless dedication to our family. Ruth will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.
