Russell Lee Maxwell, age 83 of South Lyon, passed away on January 15, 2015. Russell was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Constance. He is survived by his children, Robert Maxwell, Richard (Kathie) Maxwell, Sharen (Steve) Gustafson, Karen (Les) Smith, Cynthia (Joe) Scott, Nancy (Kevin) Kingslien, Sharon (Lew) Horn and, Diane (Jeff) Thibodeau. He was the dear Grandfather of 17 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary. Russell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an active volunteer in the Plymouth-Canton community. He was a lifetime member of the Plymouth Lions Foundation serving as a two-time, past President. He also served as Vice President and President of the Yankee Air Museum. Russell was an active volunteer with the Plymouth-Canton High School sports. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Schrader-Howell on Saturday at 11:00a.m. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
