Ruby Hamilton

Ruby Hamilton, age 76 of Van Buren Township passed away on September 10, 2024.

She was born on February 4, 1948 in Morehead, Kentucky to her parents, the late Onie and Robert Christian. 

Ruby is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Ronald Gene Hamilton; loving mother of four children – Melissa (Yahya) Murad, Todd (Brandy) Hamilton, Darren (Samantha) Hamilton and Joshua (Jessica) Hamilton; proud grandmother of Sarah Murad, Hannah Murad, Kayla Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Maddison Hamilton, Norah Hamilton and Roman Hamilton

She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her brother Winfred Christian and nephews Rob Christian and Scott Christian. She is pre-deceased by her siblings, Bill Christian, and Eleanor Hope as well as nephews and niece - Michael Christian, JoAnne Ary and David Hope.

Ruby was an active church member and was known for her beautiful singing voice. She especially loved singing gospel music. She was never less than impassioned when it came to singing about her faith. Through her gift of music, she beautifully let her listeners know what God had done in her life.

She loved holidays and any occasion that brought her large family together. Her cooking was a central part of their annual holidays, birthdays and all special occasions that brought family members closer together and created a sense of togetherness while making many cherished memories.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5PM to 7PM at Grace Baptist Church, 164 Roys Street, Belleville, Michigan, with the Funeral beginning at 7:00PM.
