Roy M. Davis, age 86 of Plymouth, passed away with his family at his side on January 20, 2013. Born in Elbridge, Tennessee on March 7, 1926 to parents Ivy & Fannie Bell Davis. Roy proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. On March 5, 1949 Roy married his beloved Mildred Rogers and together they would start a family. In 1951 Roy & Mildred would move from Obion, Tennessee to Plymouth and Roy would start his career with General Motors. Survived by his children; Beverly June (Tony) Gacioch, E. Michael Davis, Lori Jean (Chris) Leach and Bruce (Nancy) Davis. Proud grandfather of April (Noah) Stevens, Angela (Justin) Ball, Julie (Chris) Lawson, Ashley Ellis, Kimberly Davis, Sara Davis, John Ellis and Christopher Leach. Great grandfather of Lillian, Samuel, Jackson and Peter Roy. Dear brother of Sue Hardy. Preceded in death by his infant son James Melton Davis. Roy loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden but most of all spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held from the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St., Plymouth on Wednesday at 11:00am. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00pm until 9:00pm. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Memorials may be made to Timothy Hill Childrens Ranch 298 Middle Road, Riverhead, NY 11901 or St. Joseph Hospice.
