On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Rosemary J. Charron, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 81. In hospice care for six months prior to her death, Rosemary died peacefully in her sleep.
Rosemary was born in Detroit on May 8, 1940 to parents Victor & Patricia Randall. She married Thomas Edward Charron on September 10, 1960. Together they raised five beautiful children, Suzanne, Patty, Ginny, Mary Jo and Tom. Rosemary lost Tom to cancer in 1986 after 26 years of marriage, and never remarried. In 2004, she met John Groske, who was her constant companion until his passing in 2020.
Rosemary loved getting together with family and friends. She and Tom threw parties, organized large camping trips and weekend picnics with as many as a hundred people in attendance. Rosemary loved pictures and could be counted on to make sure moments were captured in photographs at the many gatherings held over the years. She also had a passion for genealogy and loved researching, documenting and adding pictures to the family tree. Rosemary enjoyed playing cards with friends and was particularly known for her love of Blackjack. She loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children Suzanne (Bill) Nelson, Patty (Todd) Caperon, Ginny (Larry) Preuss, Mary Jo (Rob) Gawronski and Tom (Tina Lau) Charron. Proud grandmother of Sean Fuchs, Brittany (Octavio) Albizo, Emily Preuss, Ray Preuss, Caroline Gawronski, Lucy Gawronski, Jane Gawronski, Liam Nelson, Ella Nelson and Truman Lau Charron. Great grandmother of Jorge, Bianca & Catalina Albizo. Dear sister of Sister Patricia Randall, Marilyn (Amir) Kashat, Phillip (Nancy) Randall, Mike Randall, Peggy (Ted) Kaczmarski, Elizabeth Newton, Joe (Cindy) Randall, Jerry (Penny) Randall, and Terri Randall-Haskell. Also survived by her brothers-in-law Ed (Diane) Charron and Ken Brach, sisters-in-law Susan Randall and Ellen Randall, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8 at 10:00am at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home at 280 South Main St, Plymouth, followed by a luncheon and interment ceremony. Visitation Sunday, November 7 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Rosemary will be interred next to her beloved husband Tom at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
