Rolland M. Butler Jr. of Canton, passed away September 22, 2016, at the age of 79. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Rolland and Althea (nee Barrows) Butler on May 5, 1937. Rolland is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Denise Soli, his two loving children Mark Butler, and Timothy (Rita) Butler, his precious grandchildren Isaac (Alyssa), Elizabeth, Olivia, Kathleen, Philip, Nathanael, Christopher, and Aidan, and his dear sister Frances. Rolland was preceded in death by both of his parents, three of his siblings, and his precious grandson Jonathan.
Rolland spent 34 and a half years working for Ford Motor Company. He loved to watch football and golf, especially the Lions, Spartans, and Wolverines. Above all though, he was always excited to hang out and play with his grandchildren. Rolland was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 27, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main, Plymouth, 48170. His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 28, at 11am at the funeral home. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, or Heartland Hospice Care.
