Robin Lee Koelbel

Robin was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 7, 1950 to her parents, Lewis and Shirley (née Watson) Saint. She is the beloved and devoted wife of Charles Koelbel. They were married on November 9, 1974 at the Mayflower Congregational Church in Detroit and would have celebrated 47 years of marriage this year. She is also the loving mother of Kelly (Brian) Granowicz and proud grandmother of Katherine Granowicz and Gabrielle Granowicz. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sisters, Sheila Stokes, Wendy (Mark) Gerstenberger, Sarah (John) Cygnarowicz and Bill (Terri) Saint and her sister-in-law, Joan (David) Niewiadomski. Robin also has many nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Eric) Baldwin, Stacy (Joe) Ketchum, David (Krystle) Niewiadomski, Theophil (Elaina) Stokes, John Zapolski, Megan Campbell, Harrison Saint, Hayley Saint, and Nick Hershey whom she adored and mentored.

Robin was devoted to her faith, family, and animals. She guided her family with love and pragmatic advice and made sure to keep everyone on the right path. She was a card shark, a natural leader, an animal lover, an avid reader, a generous hostess, and a go-getter. Robin’s greatest attribute, by far, was her strength. Her strong will and determination made her a force to be reckoned with and she often achieved whatever she set her mind upon. Also, she set a nice table.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until the Funeral Service at 6:00 P.M.
