Robert Van Hartesveldt

October 12, 1924 — March 25, 2014

Robert Van Hartesveldt, age 89 of Canton, passé away on March 25, 2014. Born in Detroit to parents Caroll & Gertrude Van Hartesveldt on October 12, 1924. Proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Soon after returning from the war Robert would marry his beloved Margaret Topple on August 24, 1946. Together they would be blessed with three loving children: Laura (Andrew) Jones, Paul (Mary) Van Hartesveldt and on January 21, 1963 they would give their nine year old son Mark William Van Hartesveldt back to the Lord. Proud grandfather of Heather & Emily Van Hartesveldt , Thomas, Sarah and Matthew Jones. Mr. Van Hartesveldt will be laid to rest with a private family service and receive full military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
