Robert Panik

Robert Panik, age 70 of Westland passed away on December 24th, 2016. Robert was born on August 3, 1946 in Centre County, Pennsylvania to his parents, Dominic and Genevieve Panik.

Robert is survived by his children, Sandra Panik, Christine (Dwayne) LaCanaria, Brenda Panik and Paul (Amanda) Panik. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Leonard Panik and his best friend, John Heionen.

To say that Robert loved football was an understatement. He had such a passion for the game. He so enjoyed attending his grandsons’ football games at Brother Rice High School and so proud to say he had two grandsons who went on to play football for Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio. Sharing that love of football with them helped to form and maintain a close relationship. His attendance at their games was not only to observe, but help the team win.

Robert owned a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500. This vehicle had been in the family for many years. Robert cherished it and treated it with lots of tender loving care. He was also an avid golfer.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday, December 28th from 2pm to 9pm.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the Funeral Home at 7:00 pm.
