"Robert Alan Obst

Robert Alan Obst, age 70 of Livonia, passed away on December 27, 2022.  Robert was born in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents Louis and Bertha (née Frommell).  He is the beloved and devoted husband of Jeannine (née Ash) Obst.  They were married at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Michigan on January 29, 2017.  He is also the loving step-father to Ashley (fiancée Jesse LeGault) Burton and Chad Button.  He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister Barbara (Don) Luedke; his niece Courtney (Steve) Paulish-McAlexander and nephew Evan (Shannon Finley-Jackson) Paulish.

Bob was larger than life who was able to make friends wherever he went. He loved to joke and laugh and be the life of the party. He loved sports and Spartan football in particular.  But he was also a St. Louis Blues fan and Chicago White Socks and Chicago Bears fan. 

Bob was the most generous person I knew. He would give you the shirt off his back or, just his time to listen and cheer you up with a corny joke.  In his retirement, he worked at Arby’s and made a huge impact on everyone he met. 

He was loved by all, and there will be a huge hole in our life that cannot be filled. 

Family and friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Thursday, December 29, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
