Robert L. Moranty passed away July 25, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born July 29, 1929 in Bay City, Michigan to Leo Anthony and Martha Elizabeth (Gadey) Moranty. He is the beloved husband of Betty Zazula-Moranty, dear father of Geoffrey Moranty, Beth(Timothy)Moranty, Martha Moranty, Michael(Roxanne)Moranty, step father of Pamela(Bill)Mayhew, Cynthia(Tony)Baran and Andrew(Doris)Zazula, dear grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 1. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Creighton. Robert retired in 1994 from The Henry Ford (Greenfield Village) where he worked as the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor for 45 years. He loved his job. Robert has been a resident of Carp Lake, Michigan for the past 12 years, previously of Plymouth. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1950 until 1952. He was a member of the American Legion. He served his church as a long time usher. Robert loved to tinker with his computer and his Kindle. He received a lot of enjoyment playing with his Yorkie Ben. Most of all he loved his family and loved to spend time with them. Robert is greatly loved and will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, July 31, 2014, 6pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, friends may visit beginning at 3pm.
