Robert Fogoros, age 74 of Canton, passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born on May 20, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, August and Eilleen Ellen (née Bleasdale) Fogoros.
He is the beloved and devoted husband of 31 years to the late Kathleen Fogoros; loving father of two children - Steven (Anna) Fogoros and Sarah (Timothy) Eichenberg; proud grandfather of Stevie, August, Amsley and Benjamin. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings, Allen Fogoros, Cathy Rygwelski and Diane Haig.
Robert had a very successful 40+ years at Detroit Diesel. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his position there as an Engineer in the Automotive industry.
One of his many interests was woodcarving. It allowed him to create something lasting out of a simple piece of wood and gave him sheer joy just to use his hands and some hand tools to create something lovely.
Robert loved nature and loved being outdoors. It was a source of serenity, beauty and calm and was one of the reasons he enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed a great day of golf. That same serenity and the beauty of the outdoors was also experienced with family and friends while participating in one of his favorite activities. He looked forward every year in the spring to begin another season watching his beloved Detroit Tigers. He loved baseball, it’s history and every aspect the game has to offer.
Lastly, his beloved dog, “Annie” will certainly miss her Master. “Annie” stood faithfully by his side (and on his lap too) and always made him smile and knowing of her unconditional love for him.
