Robert A. Faybrick

January 15, 1940 — July 19, 2017

Robert A. Faybrick of Canton, passed away July 19, 2017 at the age of 77. He was born in Detroit, to Andrew and Anna Faybrick. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Karen (nee Ford) Faybrick, his 3 boys Robert (Debbie) Faybrick, Don Faybrick, and Daryl (fiancé Martha) Faybrick, step-children Rob (Lori) Willard, and Shannon (Ed) Altounian, grandchildren Anna, Jenna, Skyler, future granddaughter Mira Faith, step-grandchildren Trinity, and Brooke, and his dear sister Dorothy. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Marlene Faybrick and his siblings Caroline and Andrew.

Robert had many joys in his life. His family was his heart. Robert was a graduate of Lawrence Tech in communications engineering and was a successful senior manager at Michigan Bell. Robert was passionate about his red Mustang GT 5.0, fishing, golfing, shooting his guns, following and discussing world events over coffee, and watching sports. He was a Tigers, Lions, and Michigan State Spartan fan. Robert enjoyed many trips snow shoeing in Northern Michigan with Karen. Robert was the captain of his boat for 30 years, with summers spent at the Timbers lodge on Mullett Lake. Robert passionately rooted for his granddaughters' soccer games and enjoyed his long talks with his sons. Robert was a son, a brother, a friend, a father and grandfather. Bob will be greatly cherished and missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 22, from 12 noon to 2pm, at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. His Funeral Service will follow visitation on Saturday beginning at 2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angela Hospice or the Little Traverse Conservancy.
