Rita Evelyn Rossow

Passed away at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital on October 19, 2010 at the age of 53. Rita was born on September 2, 1957 at Ypsilanti, Michigan the daughter of Harold and Cecelia ( Drews ) Rossow. She was a avid sports fan loving her Detroit Red Wings and a medal winner herself in many Special Olympic events. She is survived by her siblings, Martin (Carol) and Glen (Patricia) Rossow, Loraine Thuer, Jean Arlen, Ann (Scott) Pedersen, Carol Vich and Marcia (Dan) Rossow-Cone. Fourteen nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews along with a host of friends also survive. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday from 2pm until 9pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road at Beck, Plymouth from 9:30am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10am. She will be intered alongside her parents at St. John's Cemetery in Ypsilanti. Contributions are suggested to Special Olympics, Central Michigan University East, Campus Drive, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48859.
