Richard S. Corney "Dick," age 72, of Plymouth, formerly of Dearborn, passed away October 13, 2011, amidst a heroic fight against pancreatic cancer. Loving husband of Joan. Beloved father of Melissa (Darrin) Peterson and Jeffrey (Sarah) Corney. Step father of Cheryl Godfrey Gerstein, Jennifer (Michael) Riddle and Butch Godfrey. Proud grandfather of Emily, Alex, Leah, Katie, Aaron, Michael, Adelyn and Tristan. Great grandfather of Noah and Ava Lee.
Dick was loved by his family and so many wonderful friends and neighbors for his kind and generous heart, contagiously positive outlook on life, and his determination to work hard and enjoy life...both on and off the tennis court! Dick also enjoyed his work as Regional Manager for Carhartt. Dick will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will take place Monday 11am from the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth. Friends may visit Sunday from 4-8pm. Memorials may be made to Pancan, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 www.pancan.org
