Richard R. Seaman

Richard R. Seaman of Canton, died July 8, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born in Detroit to Frank and Mary (nee Greevers) Smentowski. Richard is survived by his loving brother Robert (Marian) Smentowski, his loving sister Dolores (Claude) Priebe, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 of his siblings: Frank, Raymond, George, Virginia, Ruth, Patricia, and Sharon.

Richard was a very spiritually minded man. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Richard was a very generous man who gave to multiple charities. He also opened his home to take care of his mother and two of his siblings when they became ill.

Richard loved to entertain family and friends. He was a happy-go-lucky guy who always enjoyed dancing. He also had a love for dogs, especially dachshunds.

Visitation will be Friday, July 13, from 2-8pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. Funeral Mass celebrated Saturday, July 14, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial, Plymouth, 48170. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21297-0303
