Richard "Kiki" Kevnick passed away May 14, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born January 27, 1933 in Detroit to Edwin and Michaeline (Mycek) Kevnick. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Connie in 2013. Richard is the dear father of Kathy Kevnick, David (Renae) Kevnick and Kelly Kevnick and dear grandfather of Lauren and Caroline. Richard was a resident of Plymouth since 2003 and a resident of Inkster from 1964 until moving to Plymouth. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1993 where he was a supervisor working with microfiche and later with reprographics. He grew up in Detroit having attended St. Hedwig Catholic Church where he was an Alter Boy. Richard served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a proud member of PLAV Post #7, AMVETS Post #45 and a member of PLAV Post #4 until its closing. Richard loved the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers, crossword puzzels, puzzels in general, fishing and bowling. In his earlier years he also played softball with friends, work associates and other veterans. Most of all Richard loved spending time with his family. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by many. Funeral Services will take place Monday, May 18, 2015, 11am at St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison, Livonia, Michigan 48154. Friends may visit Sunday 1pm until 7pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth and Monday at church beginning at 10:15am. There will be a Rosary Service Sunday 3pm at the funeral home. Richard will be laid to rest next to his wife at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
