Phyllis Scheff

Phyllis Scheff, age 92 of Plymouth, passed away on January 28, 2025.

Phylllis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Richard and Octavia (nee Beck) Hammerschmidt. Phyllis married her beloved husband, Don Scheff on May 27, 1966 and enjoyed 52 years together before his passing in December 2018.

Together, they were blessed with two loving sons, Edward (Allison) Scheff of Seattle, Washington and Patrick (Sandy) Scheff of New Mexico and her precious grandchildren, Ruby and Grady. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who brought great joy to her later years.

Phyllis was a devoted mother and a loving and constant source of support, inspiration, and encouragement to Don in continuing his education and finally receiving his MBA while attending classes in the evening. While raising their sons, Phyllis became involved with the Dearborn Hockey Association and also served as their Treasurer. Phyllis also worked for Ace Hardware for several years serving as an Office Manager.

Friends may visit on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth, Michigan from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 A.M.

Phyllis will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
