Phyllis Jean (Biondi) Kalisz, of South Lyon, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Phyllis was born on December 6, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Melvindale, Michigan, the daughter of her parents who preceded her, Patrick and Wyotha, along with her six siblings: Paul (Joyce), Pam VanHollebeke (Jim), Phil (Kim), Peggy Biondi-Tobe (Jim), Patti Sullivan (Tim), and Paulette Menzel (Steve). Her love for being an oral surgeon assistant and her care for patients showed throughout her career. Phyllis loved life, her family, her friends, her desserts and especially adding new names to her "DOLLAR LIST". She touched everyone she met in a very special caring way.
She will be missed and is survived by her beloved husband, James, daughter Kimberly (Zerrenner), grandson Nathan, and son-in-law Kevin; as well as many nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as “Pho Pho”.
Visitation will be held at Schrader-Howell Funeral home in Plymouth, Michigan on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 1pm to 9pm.
A Catholic funeral mass will be held at St. James in Novi on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Viewing will be at 10:00am at the church, mass begins at 10:30am. Lunch will follow for friends and family to celebrate her life at Station 885 in Plymouth. Immediate family and all those wishing to attend, will proceed to St. Hedwig’s cemetery in Dearborn following lunch.
