Penny Lee Brooks of Plymouth, Michigan, died January 22, 2018 at the age of 74. She was raised in Livonia, born to Percy and Winifred Brooks. Penny is survived by her loving siblings, Billie (Walter) Anderson, and Philip (Carole) Brooks, her nieces and nephews, Nancy (the late Larry) Sell, Susan (Mark) Noldy, Janet Nelson, Renee (Fred) Burton, Rachael (Brian) Bagenstose, Emily (Philip) Taucher, Daniel (Merary) Brooks, Kristin (Jonathon) Johnson, Andrea Walsh, Andrew (Jessica) Brooks, and Chelsea (Matthew) Corry, Michael (Barbara) Brooks, Kathi (John) Robinson, Sherri Welch, Mark (Sharon) Brooks, Lisa Wheeler, and her sister-in-law, Tanis Lemann. Penny was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her brothers, Robert (Leila) Brooks and Kenneth Brooks.
Penny's passion was decorative painting. Penny was a member of the Society of Decorative Painters, as well as The Village Painters, and regularly attended decorative painting trade shows throughout the country. Called “Peach” by many family members, Penny was a child-at-heart, and enjoyed being around kids, especially her numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Penny loved the simple things in life, and more than anything, she enjoyed being with loved ones, family and friends alike.
A Memorial Gathering will be held March 31, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Donations may be made in memory of Penny L. Brooks to "Stand Up To Cancer" - www.standuptocancer.org.
