Paul R. Rivera

Passed away on September 30, 2013 at the age of 59. Paul was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Basilio and Mary ( Rendon ) Rivera. He had worked for the Ford Motor Company for over 20 years at both the Transmission Plant in Livonia and at World Headquarters in engineering. Paul had graduated from Plymouth High School and also received his Bachelors and Masters degree from Wayne State University and Eastern Michigan University. Paul throughly loved to learn. He also was gifted in computers, both in working with them and constructing them. Paul is survived by his daughters Christina ( Matthew ) Hobbs and Heather Rivera and grandchildren Mason, Anderson and Mckenzie. Also surving Paul is his mother Mary and siblings, Rose Baker, Susie Wagner, Felix ( Carrie ) Rivera, Fred Rivera, Mary Ann ( Raymond ) Coram, David Rivera, Mary Sue ( Jim ) Raisgel and Marcie Lynn ( Matthew ) Klepack. He was preceded in death by his father Basilio and siblings Elizabeth Rocha and Basilio Jr. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday from 5 pm until 9 pm and on Thursday from 2 pm until 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 12 noon with Pastor Ronald Schubert of Harvest Ministries of Farmington Hills officiating. Interment will follow at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor.
