Paul A. Michaels

Paul A. Michaels, age 86 of Livonia, passed away on November 8, 2013. Loving husband of the late Mary Ann. Beloved father of Debbie Michaels and Neal Michaels. Proud grandfather of Sean & Cody Michaels. During his lifetime Mr. Michaels, an MIT graduate, was an engineer and avid inventor who worked at Bendix Research Laboratories, NASA, and Electron Corporation. Mr. Michaels holds several patents from these companies. He was also involved in developing the guidence system, among other things, for Land Rover which is now on the moon. Some of his achievements include his involvements in the development of GPS, automobile sonar breaking systems and other various important inventions. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00pm-9:00pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St., Plymouth. Funeral service Wednesday 11:00am. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.
