Patsy Ann Goupie

Passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the age of 74. Patsy was born in Northville, Michigan the daughter of Willard and Anna ( Hoffman ) Lockwood. The family resided in Livonia and she graduated from Bentley High School. It was after graduation, while she was working for the school bus system, that she met her future husband Joseph Goupie who drove bus for a while. They married in 1962 and after her daughters were older she went to work for General Motors as an administrative assistant with GMAC, retiring in 2006. The family were life time residents of Westland and in her spare time Patsy enjoyed knitting, sewing and was an avid reader enjoying everything she could read. She is survived by her husband and daughters the Reverend Elizabeth ( Douglas ) Lutz and Kathryn ( Lawrence ) Lang, She was the proud grandmother of Nora, Emma, James and Drew. Patsy also leaves behind her siblings Susan Wess and Butch Lockwood. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. The family will greet friends beginning at 12 noon. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Due to the Plymouth Art Fair, entrance to the funeral home is from the east only on Main Street. The city has placed signs for directions to the funeral home.
