Patricia Mary Furlong of Plymouth, and formerly of Westland, passed away January 17, 2017 at the age of 86. She was born in Detroit, to Henry and Mary (Roden) McNally. Patricia is survived by her 4 loving children Teresa (Craig McCreight) Furlong, Mary (John) Tabone, Jack (Lynn) Furlong, and Michael (Julie) Furlong, her 12 precious grandchildren Sean, Kevin, Hannah, Brendan, Meghan, Michael, Daniel, Pilar, Jack, Katie, Mary Anne, and Grace, and her 8 dear nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Francis Furlong, her parents Henry and Mary McNally, and her brothers Henry and Frank McNally.
Patricia became a bookkeeper right out of high school. She retired after 40 years with Gardiner C. Vose Inc. She was a founding member and long-time parishioner at St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church in Westland. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 10 years.
Above all, Patricia was a devoted Mom and Grandma. She always put her family first and took care of everyone. She loved to see her grandkids, nieces and nephews. Patricia made it to many of their sporting events to see them play. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, from 4:30-8:30pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main, Plymouth, 48170 with a Rosary at 7pm. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 23, at 10:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard, Livonia, 48150. Interment will immediately follow Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
