Noreen Patricia (McMahon) Cusick died peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Novi, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband Paul Leo Cusick, Jr. and her beloved sister, Mary Malinowski. Noreen was a loving mother to her children, Katie Cusick, Sheila (Mike) Riemer, and Paul John Cusick and cherished grandmother to James, Ben, Declan, Liam, Julia, Luke, and Dominic. She is also survived by her brothers Tom McMahon (Kathy) and Jim McMahon (Melinda), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Noreen was born March 24, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Peter John and Bridget McMahon. She was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and Marygrove College in Detroit. She spent many years teaching in various Catholic schools, as well as in the Detroit and Ypsilanti public school systems. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith throughout her life. She taught religious education classes, served as a Eucharistic minister, and volunteered for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved Irish dancing and music.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Friday, April 12, from 2PM to 7PM with a rosary service at 6PM.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 13, at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth, Michigan. The visitation will commence at 12:00PM until the Mass starting at 12:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Detroit (www.svdpdetroit.org).
