Passed away at St. Mary Mercy Hospital on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the age of 89. Mr. Broggi was born in Bucharest, Romania the son of Luigi A. and Arghria (Popescu) Broggi. He came to the United States and worked for General Motors for 30 years. He was a member of the K of C and the A.I.O. His wife Aurelia passed away on 2006 and he is survived by his four children, Luigi (Kathy), Stefano (Leesa), Nicola A. (Joan) and Bianca Broggi. Seven grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Brian, Kellie, Nicholas, Alex and Angela along with four great grandchildren, Rylee, Natalee, Roman and Max also survive. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Julie. His sister Marie also survives. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Thursday from 2pm - 8pm. Rosary service Thursday 7 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10am until time of funeral mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 46750 North Territorial Road at Beck, Plymouth. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Cemetery in Canton. Contributions are suggested to Angela Hospice or the National Diabetes Association.
